What Is Ultrasalve (Petnat) first-aid ointment For?

How To Use Ultrasalve (Petnat) first-aid ointment

Petnat Ultrasalve is very quick and easy to use:

For minor cuts & wounds- Clean the area (preferably with Colloidal Silver), and when dry, apply a thick layer of ointment. Reapply as necessary, up to three times a day.

For dry, sore & calloused elbows - Rub ointment in 1-3 times a day, as necessary.

Is there anything I shouldn’t use Petnat Ultrasalve for?

If your dog has itchy or irritated skin, we would recommend that you try our Dermacton products instead. We do not recommend that Ultrasalve is used near the eyes. If your dog has a problem near their eyes, Dermacton is more suitable. If you do decide to use it on irritated skin, we recommend that you do a double patch test first on an unaffected area.

Can I use a dressing over the wound?

Ultrasalve has been designed to be used without the need for a dressing, however it can be used with a dressing if preferred.

What if my dog tried to lick it off?

There are no harmful ingredients, however it is preferable to try and stop your dog licking as much as possible so that the ointment stays on and does its work. The taste of the Ultrasalve will naturally deter many dogs from licking, however if your dog is very persistent it may be useful to apply the ointment prior to them being distracted eg prior to a walk or feeding.

What is the shelf life of this product?

This product will keep for 12 months from purchase if stored in a cool place.
